Lake Kameyama is a dammed lake created by damming the Kobitsu River, which flows into Tokyo Bay. Famous for its autumn leaf-viewing cruises, fresh green cruises, and bass fishing, visitors can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons.

History of Kameyama Onsen Hotel

●History of Kameyama Onsen Hotel since 1930 ●
In 1930 Tokita Gunji started the Kameyama Kameyama Mineral Spring" and started an inn business. This was the predecessor of the Kameyama Onsen Hotel.
In 1950 The hotel is reopened by the previous owner, Tokita Gohei.
In 1972 The construction of Kameyama Dam started and "Kameyama Kosen" was sunk under the dam.
In 1975 It was decided to move Kameyama Kosen to higher ground overlooking the dam, and on May 15, 1975, it began operating as the present Kameyama Onsen Hotel.
The hot spring that had been gushing out naturally until now was re-drilled to a depth of 2,000 meters, and since then the same black water has been gushing out naturally in abundance, at a rate of 600 liters per minute. The building has remained unchanged for more than 30 years.

Important notice for guests visiting Turtle Island Onsen Hotel.

Although the hotel is a 3-story reinforced concrete building, there is no elevator. The front desk, bathhouse, and restaurant are all on the first floor, and guest rooms are on the second floor. Please note that there are 20 steps to the 2nd floor and less than 40 steps to the 3rd floor. Please let us know in advance if you have any disabilities. We will try to arrange a room with as few steps as possible.
This is not a hot spring resort, so it is a very quiet place at night. Please understand that it does not have the atmosphere of a hot spring resort.
Many people tell us that the building is old. We are doing our best to repair them, but they are by no means perfect, so we would appreciate your understanding in advance.
