From yesterday to today, a resident of Sumiya, Tateyama City has received a phone call from a person claiming to be his son, claiming to be an OLE-ore scammer.
The caller said, "I am going to receive treatment at a hospital for an illness, and I need money." The caller says something like, "I'm sick and need to get treatment at the hospital and I need money.
Such a call is a scam.
Even if the caller gives the name of a relative, do not immediately trust them and do not give any information about whether they are home or not, or how much cash they have in storage.
Hang up on suspicious calls and consult a family member or the police.
To prevent damage, it is important to set your home landline to voicemail even when you are at home and do not talk to the person on the other end of the line.
