The City of Yachiyo's policy on the treatment of human waste and septic tank sludge （ (hereinafter referred to as "human waste, etc.") has been implemented at the Yachiyo City Sanitation Center. ） is treated at the Yachiyo City Sanitation Center, but the facility has been in service for a considerable number of years and is deteriorating in many areas, such as the equipment and framework, etc. Therefore, in order to maintain appropriate and stable treatment of human waste, etc. in the future, it is necessary to establish a policy for the treatment method of human waste, etc.
Therefore, it is necessary to establish a policy on how to treat human waste in order to maintain appropriate and stable treatment of human waste in the future. Therefore, from the viewpoints of economy, continuous safety, and stability, a comparative study was conducted on the following treatment methods for human waste from a long-term perspective: "maintain the current treatment method," "carry in to a wide-area treatment facility," and "discharge into a basin-related public sewerage system.
Based on the results of the study, we compiled the "Yachiyo City Policy on the Treatment of Urinary Wastes and Septic Tank Sludge （ Draft ）" as the future policy for the treatment of human waste.
Therefore, in order to enhance the contents, public comments on this draft will be held in accordance with the Yachiyo City Public Comment Procedure Implementation Outline.
