As of August 6, the average number of newly infected patients per week at one fixed-point observation medical institution in the jurisdiction of Kimitsu Public Health Center （ Kisarazu, Kimitsu, Futtsu, and Sodegaura cities ） is 27.6, higher than the 17.92 in Chiba Prefecture.

During the summer vacation and Obon period, many people are expected to be in the area, and further spread of infection is also a concern. When meeting with elderly people when returning home or gathering in large groups, ventilation, hand washing ・ disinfection, and wearing masks in effective situations are effective measures against infectious diseases.

Medical facilities are often closed during the Obon period, so it is a good idea to prepare antigen test kits, antipyretic analgesics, water and food supplies for several days in case of cold symptoms.

Chiba Prefecture has set up a consultation service related to new coronavirus infection, such as having worrisome symptoms, consultation on where to seek medical care, or if symptoms become severe while recovering at home.
