Sodegaura City is surrounded by the sea and lush green plateau, with vast countryside and rich nature. There are numerous places where visitors can come into contact with nature and its creatures, and it is not uncommon to find precious creatures in Chiba Prefecture. In fact, however, there are many invasive alien species lurking in every corner of the city's natural environment, threatening the creatures that have inhabited the city for centuries. This is the first exhibition on the theme of invasive alien species since the opening of the museum. Starting with the definition of alien species and the damage they cause, the exhibition introduces alien species found in Sodegaura, their effects, and how they were introduced, and considers how we should deal with alien species and how we can preserve our precious nature.
