[Synopsis]
Paris, 19th century. Mari ・ Skłodowska, a young female researcher from Poland,
is discriminated against by the Sorbonne and is denied the opportunity to do research.
Then she has a fateful encounter with a fellow scientist, Pierre ・ Curie, and they marry and become Madame Curie.
With his support, she immersed herself in research, and the couple won the Nobel Prize together for their discovery of the new elements radium and polonium.
They dominate the scientific world, but their happiness is short-lived, and her husband dies in a tragic accident.
Her distress is compounded when radium, which she has discovered, is used to treat cancer cells, but is also used as a nuclear weapon.
