The Consumer Affairs Center has received numerous inquiries about mail order sales, such as "I bought a product on the Internet with the intention of making a one-time purchase, but it turned out to be a subscription purchase," and "When I asked for a return of a product I bought after watching TV shopping, I was told that returns are not accepted.

〇 There is no legal cooling ・ off system for mail order sales. If there is a special agreement on whether or not the product can be returned and the conditions under which it can be returned, the customer must follow the agreement.

〇 If there is no special agreement, the consumer may return the goods within 8 days from the date of receipt at his/her own expense, but even if the goods can be returned, there may be a return deadline. Check the contents of the product as soon as you receive it.

〇 When using the Internet with smartphones or other devices, carefully check the written terms and conditions to see if a return is possible and, if so, under what conditions.

〇 There are problems with regular purchases and fake sites. Be careful.

〇 If you are in trouble, consult the Noda City Consumer Affairs Center immediately.
