（ Tentative Name ） Roadside Station Yachiyo Area Revitalization Plan （ Draft ）

"Yachiyo Furusato Station" is the third registered "Roadside Station" in the prefecture. The roadside station is the third registered "roadside station" in the prefecture, and is widely used not only by road users on National Route 16, but also by local citizens.
In 2013, the "Yachiyo Agricultural Exchange Center" was opened on the other side of the Shinkawa River for the purpose of deepening understanding and interest in agriculture through agricultural experiences, etc. The two facilities were combined as "Road Station" Yachiyo from the end of February 2015.
In June 2021, Michi no Eki Yachiyo was selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as one of the "Roadside Stations for Disaster Prevention," an initiative of the third stage of the "Roadside Stations" program. In response to this, Yachiyo City decided to renew the Yachiyo Furusato Station, which has been open for more than 20 years and has become old and cramped.
The renewal will be funded by a grant for the promotion of rural areas under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and in applying for the grant, a plan for the revitalization of rural areas must be formulated in accordance with the Law for the Promotion of Settlement and Inter-regional Exchange for the Revitalization of Rural Areas.
We have prepared a "（ tentative name ） Draft （ Roadside Station Yachiyo Area Revitalization Plan ）" with the goal of not only renewing the "Yachiyo Furusato Station" but also creating a lively atmosphere based on this facility.
Therefore, based on the Yachiyo City Public Comment Procedure Implementation Guidelines, we are soliciting opinions on "（ Tentative name ） Roadside Station Yachiyo Area Revitalization Plan （ Draft ）" and would like to hear your opinions.
