In the Survey of Outbreak Trends of Infectious Diseases, Chiba Prefecture reported 14.54 cases of influenza per fixed point in the 37th week of 2023 （ from September 11 to September 17 ）, exceeding the national alert threshold （ 10 ） and the prefecture issued an influenza alert on September 20.
As of the 37th week, this is the highest number of cases reported in the past 5 years, and the increase is seen earlier than usual （ from December to March ）. In addition, the number of patients reported per fixed point in Narashino Health Center （ Yachiyo City ・ Narashino City ・ Kamagaya City ） was 22.8, and attention should be paid to the outbreak situation in the future.
