A number of fraudulent calls have been made today to elderly residents in Tateyama City, claiming to be from Tokyo Electric Power Company.
The caller will ask for your personal information and say something like, "There is an unpaid bill and the power will be cut off in an hour." The caller will ask for your personal information.
Even if the caller claims to be a company, do not immediately trust them and do not give any personal information or cash storage. Hang up on suspicious calls and consult your family or the police. To prevent damage, it is important to set your home landline to voicemail even when you are home and do not talk to the person on the other end of the line. These calls are a scam.
