First, we will talk about how the kanji we use today were created
and how kanji characters are created. We will start with a story about the origins of Kanji characters.
Next, we will give you a lecture using
the text of each person's name in ancient characters.
After that, we will ask you to actually write your name, and we will write it on a Japanese paper card.
You choose a Tuskake original Kiryu obi pattern mini hanging scroll and stick your work on it to complete the work ！


Atsuko Sano

Ancient character calligrapher (Sano Suiran) / graphic designer
While working as an art director at an advertising agency in Tokyo, she moved to Minami-Boso Shirahama-cho in 2022 and is living in two locations. In Tokyo and Chiba, he holds regular calligraphy classes for ancient characters, and has been teaching at the Yomiuri Culture Center Ebisu since 2010. Based on her many years of experience in calligraphy, she has developed a deep interest in the pictorial characters of pre-slave style calligraphy, and has been creating works with ancient characters as her motif. She has actively participated in domestic and international calligraphy exhibitions and events. He has actively participated in calligraphy exhibitions and events both in Japan and abroad, and has promoted the appeal of tradition and art through performances of large letters.
