■ Support Scam ■
＜ M.O. ＞ While browsing the Internet on a computer, a fake security warning screen that looks like a virus infection suddenly appears, or a suspicious voice or warning sound is played to arouse anxiety. The user is then asked to call the displayed support desk to have the virus removed. The fraudulent website is a website that demands money in the name of providing support services.
＜ Countermeasures ＞ If a fake security warning screen is displayed, do not call the displayed phone number.

■ Social networking investment scams ・ Romance scams ■
＜ M.O. ＞
Social networking investment scams ・ ・ ・ "You will make money." They post banner ads or send direct messages posing as celebrities or investors, and then lure interested parties into group talks where they are offered investment opportunities and defrauded out of their money.
Romance scams ・ ・ ・ Contacting a person via social networking direct messages or matching apps, and when romantic feelings develop, offering to "accumulate assets for our future together." and then the couple is swindled out of their money.
＜ Countermeasures ＞ Suspect a scam and talk to others about money on social networking sites.
