Announcement: 1st J-alert Nationwide Simultaneous Information Transmission Test Using Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio, etc.

On May 22, 2024 （ Wednesday ）, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency has notified us that the first J-Alert nationwide simultaneous information transmission test will be conducted to contribute to the prompt and reliable communication of information to residents in the event of an emergency.
The following information will be broadcast simultaneously from outdoor sub-stations （ installed in various locations in the city ） Disaster Prevention Administration Radio

Upward chime tone
"This is a J-Alert test" （ repeated three times ）
"This is the Disaster Prevention Service Shiroi"
Downward chime tone

*Test broadcasts may be cancelled depending on the occurrence of a disaster or weather conditions.

*J-Alert is a system that transmits information from the National Government （ Fire and Disaster Management Agency ） to all cities, wards, towns and villages in Japan via satellite in the event of an emergency situation such as an armed attack from another country or a large-scale earthquake that cannot be dealt with in a timely manner, and automatically activates the municipal disaster prevention radio system.
