Today, in the Shimoshizu Shinden area of Yotsukaido City, we received a phone call from a person claiming to be our son, saying, "You dropped your cell phone in the restroom. After receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be from the JR Lost and Found Center, a person claiming to be from the JR Lost and Found Center said, "We have received your son's package. Please tell us your son's name for identification purposes.
This call was made by a person claiming to be from the JR Lost and Found Center. This phone call is a prelude to a scam that will demand [money] or [cash card] for various reasons in the future.
If the caller mentions money or a card, it is a scam.
Talk to a family member or the police.
Another effective measure is to always leave your landline phone on voicemail.
