Chiba City ： Beware of scams taking advantage of flat-rate tax reduction ！.

There have been cases nationwide of people receiving phone calls and e-mails from the IRS, tax offices, and city halls about flat-rate tax breaks in an attempt to obtain bank account information or to defraud people out of their cash by forcing them to operate ATMs claiming to be processing tax refunds.
The IRS, tax offices, and city halls will never call or email you to ask for your personal information or operate an ATM in order to get your tax refund or benefits.
If you receive a phone call or email that you do not recognize, please call 110 or contact your local police department.
