This time, we will be conducting conservation activities at Mitsubori Satoyama Nature Park to preserve the spawning grounds of the Japanese red-legged frog.

The Japanese red-legged frog is designated as a most important protected species in the Chiba Prefecture Red Data Book.
They have the habit of laying their eggs in rice paddies and shallow ponds during the winter, a little earlier than other frogs, and hibernating again until the arrival of spring.
Therefore, in order to create an environment that is more conducive to spawning, we rake the mud and cut the grass that has accumulated at the bottom of waterways and ponds.

[Eligibility] Noda citizens of elementary school age and older (*Elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

[Capacity] First 20 applicants (advance reservation required)

[Fee] Free

[Bring] Boots or athletic shoes that can get dirty, work gloves, hat, Towel, drink
