[Traffic fatality alert issued ！ ！]

This is an announcement from the Kimitsu Police Station.
At around 2:28 a.m. on June 15, 2024, two people were killed in a single traffic accident in Sakata, Kimitsu City, and
a traffic fatality alert was issued in the city.
The number of traffic fatalities in the city in 2024 was six, five more than the same period last year, and
ranked first among all police stations in Chiba Prefecture.
Therefore, the Kimitsu Police Station will strongly promote measures to prevent traffic fatalities, such as strengthening enforcement against drunk driving and other traffic violations that are malicious, dangerous, and highly annoying.
To prevent further tragic accidents, citizens should also make efforts for traffic safety and eradicate drunk driving.
