Beware of calls from people pretending to be police officers.

Today, an elderly person living in the Iitomi area of Sodegaura City has received a suspicious phone call claiming to be a police officer.
Even if the caller claims to be a relative or the name of a government official, do not immediately trust them and do not answer with personal information, whether or not they are at home, or whether or not they have cash ready.
If your home telephone has an answering machine feature, set it to go to voicemail even if you are at home and do not talk to the person.
