Mr. Katsuyoshi Kurihara ( Member of Kisarazu City History Editorial Committee ).
The official records of the Kimitsu area concerning the Great Kanto Earthquake 100 years ago are "Kisarazu-cho Taisho Daisho Eisai-shi" and "Chiba-ken Kimitsu-gun-shi ・ Shimomaki" ("Daihensha Eisai-shi" in "Daihen 10-kaihyo"). Based on these two "earthquake disaster histories" and adding historical documents remaining in the region, I will talk about the damage and response to the Great Kanto Earthquake, rescue of the victims ・ and reconstruction after the disaster.
