Life Safety ・ Safety Information [Consumer Information] May Cause Serious Accidents ! Long-Term Use of Oil Fan Heaters

I am using an oil fan heater manufactured over 20 years ago. When I lifted the tank to refill the cartridge-type tank with remaining kerosene, the kerosene leaked. When I complained to the manufacturer about the danger, I was told, "The equipment is old and the parts around the filter may have deteriorated. They told me that the filter is no longer manufactured. Although it is an old product, I would like to continue using it. ( 70's )

< A word of advice >
Oil After prolonged use, parts of fan heaters may deteriorate due to heat, moisture, dust, etc., causing them to smoke ・ and catch fire, possibly resulting in a fire or other serious accident.
Industry organizations set the standard for oil fan heater inspection ・ replacement at 8 years, but even if it is not that long, if you notice anything wrong with the equipment, stop using it immediately and ask the manufacturer or dealer for inspection ・ and repair.
Oil fan heaters and other "oil heaters" are designated as specified products under the Consumer Product Safety Law, and safety standards are set by the government. The safety of oil fan heaters with the PSC mark has been strengthened, for example, the lid of the cartridge tank has been improved, and the installation of a fire extinguishing device and an incomplete combustion prevention device is mandatory.
For safety, consider replacing the product.
